There are no limitations such as word length, position on the page, or predefined selections. Without touching the book, the performer can accurately reveal the chosen word, and may also demonstrate an even deeper level of impossibility by revealing the adjacent words if desired. The effect is completely repeatable for the same audience, producing different results every time without loss of impact.
Both books can be freely examined and read before and after the performance. They are genuine, unaltered novels with nothing contrived or suspicious about them.
